Compact ConveyorClick to view story
CCL have provided many conveyors and conveyor systems to the building industry, each unique to the environment they are to be used in.
This popular range was used for moving relatively lightweigth rubble around, and for sand and/or cement. It featured through-holes allowing the conveyors to be mounted on scaffolding structures, making them very flexible. The individual units where only 3m long, making them relatively lightweight and easy to handle. By daisy-chaining the conveyors together, they can produce long runs, go around bends, and up-and-down hills. (particularly relevant for excavating basements).
A slightly heavier-duty conveyor used for taking bricks and concrete rubble from a series of house basement expansions. Like its lighter brethren, it can be mounted on scaffold systems for greater flexibility, and daisy-chained together to form longer runs, and to negotiate bends and inclines/declines.
This slightly longer, heavier-duty conveyor was designed for moving heavy rubble on a new construction site. Unlike the other conveyors, this is a troughing conveyor, with the belt being lower in the middle than the edges. This reduces the chance of rubble falling of the sides of the conveyor belt, and allows the unit to give a greater throughput.
These conveyors where also designed with scaffold-mounting holes, allowing the conveyors to be mounted at angles, and to be daisy-chained for longer runs.
Typical usage includes the conveying of sand and aggregates on building and construction sites, but often conveyors are required to operate in areas where access is difficult, such as getting rubble from a basement area to street level and in to a skip, or where work is being done on the back of a property and access for dumper trucks or skips is not possible. Central Conveyors can manufacture for any particular situation, including when several conveyors forming a daisy chain to span around corners are required. If you would like more information on these conveyor case studies, or any other CCL conveyors or conveyor systems, call us on 01509 974215 today for an informal, no obligation chat.
